The fourth international Eumetcal workshop will be held from 26 to 28 August 2008 in Météo-France facilities in Toulouse, France kindly hosted by the Ecole Nationale de la Météorologie (ENM).

The international Eumetcal workshop is aimed at trainers and professionals with training responsibilities in the field of meteorology and hydrology. It will focus on cooperation between NHMSs to develop and deliver continuous professional development training.

The Workshop themes are:

 eLearning pedagogy for adult learners
 Blended learning approaches
 Computer assisted learning (CAL) experiences and best practices
 Using eLearning in meteorology and hydrology
 Experiences on Learning Management Systems (LMS, i.e. Moodle)
 Evaluation of Online Programmes

Practical Information

 The Workshop will take place at the Météopole, the headquarters of Météo-France in Toulouse, France.

The Working Groups will meet on Monday 25th for a one-day workshop to plan and carry out workshop tasks.

To attend the Working Group Meetings on Monday 25th August, please contact the chairman of the Working Group and request to be included in the list of participants. The Groups are open and we wish for active participation from members. Members are expected to contribute to the Working Group activities. Please note that attendance to the Radar TRWG meeting is by invitation only. Please contact Dr. Wilfried Jacobs from DWD for more information.
