Eumetcal In Brief

What is Eumetcal?

Eumetcal is the training co-operation programme between the national hydro-meteorological services (NHMS) in Europe.

Eumetcal has currently 28 member states and 3 co-operation partners outside Europe: Meteorological Service of Canada, Bureau of Meteorology in Australia and the COMET Program of UCAR (USA).

The people

Eumetcal success depends on people - our main goal is to let the people bring in their ideas for meteorological training, share their knowledge and experiences and help each other in meeting their training needs.

Eumetcal gathers together meteorological training and subject matter experts around the world - National Hydro-Meteorological Service trainers, researchers with training activities, subject matter experts in various hydro-meteorological topics and in general the meteorological staff are welcome to give their input and benefit from co-operation with other experts.

The Co-operation

In Eumetcal this cooperation happens mainly in the following ways:

- Eumetcal offers technical advice and tools on how to make the training more effective
