This Module is a co-operation between meteorological services and institutes of Australia (BoM), Canada (MSC), Croatia (DHMZ), Finland (FMI), Germany (DWD), Portugal (IMP), Romania (RNMA) and Spain (GRAHI).

The Weather Radar Applications in Nowcasting for Weather Forecasters course is a course addressing the use of modern weather radars in weather forecasting and especially nowcasting. Radars are crucial in the 0-24h timescale forecasting as they produce fast and reliable products needed in the forecast process.

This course will be lead by the leading experts in weather radars and will focus especielly in taking full advantage of radar products in forecasting. It will include innovative online elements and parts of the course will be delivered via the internet using state-of-the art online tools.
