NOMEK is a course intended for operational forecasters, and the course has been developed jointly by the Nordic meteorological services.
As previously, EUMETSAT supports the course.

The main subjects of NOMEK 2008 were satellite and radar meteorology, numerical weather prediction and products, case studies and meteorology in media.
